French Dinner!

French Dinner is finally here and I hope that my macarons are good enough to share with friends who really appreciate fine french cuisine and pastries. I was in charge (for the most part) of the desserts for french dinner. I made...

Buche de Noel
Creme Brule
*Poached Pear Almond Tart
Vanilla with Orange Cream Macaron
Pistachio with Crunchy Cocao Nib Ganache Macaron
Coco with Basil Buttercream Macaron
Lavender with Rose-Raspberry Ganache Macaron

*I could do an entire blog entry about how much I love poaching pears. It makes my house smell amazing, and it makes me feel french - which is a good thing.  Next to making macarons, I think my next new love is making tarts.

Thanks to my cousin Eric Edwards to took awesome pictures of the evening - and the food. If the pictures look awesome, it's because Eric took them, not me. As for the not-so-artistic photos, I took those...
