Last year I got a sewing machine for my birthday. I have grown up watching my mom sew some pretty amazing things, and I've always wanted to be able to whip anything out just like her. I got all ambitious and purchased fabric and a pattern for a Christmas Tree skirt, but the project totally bombed and I ended up with a tree mini tree skirt - it was horrible. Discouraged, I threw it away and I quite honestly haven't really touched my sewing machine much since that last project.
With the new arrival Lotojane, my interest in learning to sew has been reinvigorated. This time, I thought I would be less ambitious and start with something REALLY easy. And I did it! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my very first successful sewing project: a carseat canopy.
