When bunnies get scared, they do something called "thumping." They turn their back foot into a spring-loaded drum. This video doesn't do aspen's "thumping" any justice as you can't hear how load she can stamp her foot on the floor. As I was capturing cute footage of Aspen eating some cilantro, she heard Mike outside shoveling snow and got scared. Please pardon my bunny baby talk, but here it is...
Mike is the bunny whisperer and Aspen has Mike wrapped around her....fluffy tail (bunnies don't have little fingers). Ever night when it's bunny bedtime, mike gets her bedtime snack (carrot, lettuce, cilantro or other greens) and Aspen obediently follows Mike to her cage. SUPER cute!
Aspen can enjoy her cush life for now as the only pet of pet parents. A human being is joining the ranks so as much as we love her, her slip down to the bottom of the totem pole is inevitable.

What a well behaved critter. Nicely tempered.
Did I here you call her Aspie?
Yep. We're as pathetic as we sound. Our pet has a pet name. We've also been known to call her "fuzzy bum."
Very cute.
